Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure stockroom and sales floor are well maintained.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with responsibilities including payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention. Part-time availability is noted; inclusive, customer-focused leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Retail store management experience preferred in grocery/drug store environments.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, lifting).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and process corporate directives.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and proper promotional appearance.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of sales floor and stockroom per company standards.
• Supervise and train Store Associates; foster a safe, respectful environment.
