Job summary

Family Dollar in Holmes, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, elevate customer service, and develop a cohesive team. • Retail supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas according to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain overall store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
