Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development at our Linwood location.

You will support opening and closing procedures, merchandise flow, inventory, payroll and scheduling while maintaining a safe, friendly environment and upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment; manage store cleanliness and restocking.
