Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Marietta, GA to support the Store Manager by leading staff, hiring, training, motivating and supervising a team of 15+.

The role involves driving customer and donor satisfaction, maintaining displays and merchandising, ensuring cash handling per policy, and guiding the store toward its budgeted financial performance. Ongoing training is provided and opportunities to transfer to other stores may arise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervision of 15+ employees in food services, manufacturing, production or retail or 1 year supervisory with Goodwill training
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year supervisory experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, fast food, restaurants, B2B accounts, corporate/service industry or any other relevant industry
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of either of the above
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in operating personal computers, POS systems, and MS Office
• A driver's license and dependable transportation and communication devices

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in running the store; hire, train, motivate and supervise staff
• Lead meetings and help the store meet customer and donor satisfaction standards
• Maintain displays and merchandising presentations
• Ensure cash is handled per policy
• Drive store toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial performance
• Ongoing training is provided; potential to transfer to other stores
