Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Duluth, GA to support the Store Manager in hiring, training, and supervising 15+ staff. You’ll lead meetings, ensure donor and customer satisfaction, and maintain merchandising displays while controlling cash handling per policy and helping the store achieve financial targets.

Applicants should have 2+ years of supervision in relevant industries or 1 year with Goodwill training, plus strong communication skills and PC/POS

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervising 15+ employees in retail, food service, manufacturing, or production, or 1 year with Goodwill training.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year supervisory experience in logistics, retail, or related field.
• 4+ years military service with supervisory experience can substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff.
• Lead meetings and ensure customer and donor satisfaction standards.
• Maintain displays and merchandising presentations; manage cash handling per policy.
• Drive store toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial performance.
• Ongoing training provided; potential transfer to other stores as career progresses.
