Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking a capable Retail Assistant Store Manager at the Northside location in Atlanta. You will assist the Store Manager by hiring, training, and supervising staff, leading meetings, and ensuring donor/customer satisfaction.

You will also manage displays, merchandising, and cash handling in compliance with policy while driving the store to meet or exceed financial targets. This role offers growth opportunities within Goodwill’s network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in supervision of 15+ employees in food services, manufacturing, production or retail or 1 year supervision with Goodwill training
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year of supervisory experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, fast food, restaurants, B2B accounts, corporate/service industry or any other relevant industry
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of the above, if applicable
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Experience operating personal computers, POS or sell systems, and MS Office
• Driver's license and reliable transportation and communication devices
• Bilingual language skills are a plus
• Previous military experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff
• Lead meetings and help the store meet customer and donor satisfaction standards
• Maintain displays and merchandising presentations and ensure cash handling per policy
• Drive the store toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial performance; ongoing training provided
