World Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team while maximizing sales and profitability. You will partner with the Store Manager to uphold brand standards, policies, and daily operations across Customer Experience, Freight Flow, Operations and Merchandising.

You will recruit, coach, and retain a customer-focused team, drive engagement and loyalty initiatives, and ensure effective use of tools and training resources.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
• Ability to coach associates in the moment and de-escalate situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a customer-first selling culture and drive engagement, loyalty, and brand standards.
• Analyze business trends using available reports to identify opportunities and act accordingly.
• Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performance team aligned with company values.
• Plan and execute daily tasks in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Ensure loss prevention, safety, and inventory procedures are followed.
