Job summary

World Market in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performance team, drive sales and profitability, and uphold our brand values, policies, and operational standards.

You will partner with the Store Manager to plan daily tasks, recruit and develop staff, coach for exceptional customer experiences, manage merchandising and safety, and execute initiatives that enhance customer loyalty in a fast-paced specialty retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to coach and de-escalate customer situations.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead a customer-first selling culture and drive engagement, loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values.
• Analyze business trends using available reporting to identify opportunities and take action.
• Plan daily tasks and duties in partnership with the Store Manager; supervise a high-performance team.
• Recruit, develop, and retain staff with training, recognition, and performance management.
• Maintain Loss Prevention policies and inventory management; support safety training and compliance.
