Job summary

World Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performance team in a fast-paced retail setting. You will drive a customer-first selling culture, oversee daily operations, and develop staff while upholding brand standards and store policies.

You will partner with the Store Manager to prioritize tasks, analyze trends, and implement strategies that improve sales and profitability while delivering a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience delivering results in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach associates in real time.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet daily business needs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in retail.

Responsibilities

• Lead a customer-first selling culture and drive engagement and loyalty initiatives.
• Analyze business trends using reports to identify opportunities and take action.
• Maintain World Market values, brand, policies and standards.
• Plan and execute daily tasks and duties in absence of Store Manager.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team aligned with company values.
• Utilize tools and training to ensure proper execution of key functions.
• Support Loss Prevention policies and inventory initiatives.
• Maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training.
