Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the store team during the manager’s absence and guide staff across shifts.

You will coach and mentor team members, assist with hiring, ensure accurate cash handling and merchandising standards, and maintain a welcoming store environment. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply to serve diverse customers.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager in setting team goals, giving feedback, coaching, and ensuring training compliance.
• Assist in recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, and coordinating with management on selections.
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub, and DC add orders and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
