Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ballwin, MO to drive sales, lead a customer-focused team, and maintain a compliant store environment. You will oversee recruiting, training, payroll, inventory, and merchandising while delivering best-in-class service.

Qualified candidates bring 1–3 years in retail leadership, experience coaching a sales-focused team, familiarity with POS and inventory software, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of work experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in retail
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs)
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team
• Support day-to-day operations including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and a safe store environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
