Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. The role will lead the team in servicing customers and manage the store during the manager’s absence, including opposing shifts. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

The position emphasizes staffing, coaching, hiring support, and daily operational duties to ensure a high standard of store performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise and improve customer service levels on the showroom floor with program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Assist the store manager in staffing the sales counter during peak hours and evaluating team performance.
• Assist in hiring by coordinating interviews and evaluating candidates with management.
• Ensure phone inquiries are answered per policy and manage order processing and communications.
• Oversee daily operations including returns, exchanges, invoicing, and adherence to policies.
