Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Spartanburg, SC seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, ensure policy compliance, and lead staff with guidance and training. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume responsibility for all store activities and work to exceed sales and service targets.

You will deliver a safe shopping environment, supervise merchandising, handling POS transactions, payroll, scheduling and staff development, while maintaining visual standards

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and ensure policy compliance.
• Provide leadership, guidance and training to staff; act in absence of Store Manager.
• Deliver excellent customer shopping experiences and uphold service standards.
• Oversee POS transactions, loyalty programs, and opening/closing procedures.
• Manage inventory, pricing, markdowns and physical inventory processes.
• Supervise merchandising, floor presentation and promotional signage.
• Monitor payroll, scheduling and time/attendance.
• Develop staff through training and policies.
