Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run day-to-day store operations, lead staff under the Store Manager, and ensure compliance with company policies. You will help deliver strong sales, service and operational results while training and guiding the team.

Responsibilities include coaching, ensuring a safe environment, handling POS and inventory, driving visual merchandising and payroll tasks within policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Provide leadership and training to staff under Store Manager guidance.
• Maintain excellent customer shopping experience and service standards.
• Handle POS transactions, discounts, refunds, loyalty, opening/closing procedures.
• Manage inventory, price changes, markdowns and physical inventory.
• Oversee merchandising, floor upkeep, promotions, signage and presentation.
• Control payroll, scheduling, and attendance within policy.
• Train and develop direct reports and reinforce operational standards.
• Support loss prevention and protection of company assets.
• Strive to manage day-to-day store operations effectively.
