Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and support opening/closing procedures.

The role requires strong communication and leadership, with a focus on maintaining a clean, well‑stocked store and ensuring safety and adherence to company policies. This is a part‑time position offering growth and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe environment with professional customer interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and general presentation.
