Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, and ensure store areas meet company standards.

You will help supervise and train Store Associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and prior store management experience in retail or related settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; must be able to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain cleanliness and a positive, respectful environment.
