Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized from the receiving area to the sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, customer service and leadership skills. You will help supervise store associates, maintain a safe environment, and support management in achieving store goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure store areas are neat, stocked, and secure.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
