Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates.

You will maintain clean, organized spaces, process directives, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff while meeting company standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and development of Store Associates.
• Provide a safe, positive, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
