Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will cover leadership during absences and alternating shifts, guiding the team to deliver superior service to retail and professional customers.

The position requires managing staffing, coaching team members, and participating in hiring processes while ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification required.
• Certification in parts management provides the foundation for store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and related programs.
• Ensure adequate staffing during peak retail hours to maintain service levels.
• Assist in setting team member goals, coaching, and training updates.
• Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks and participating in interviews.
• Handle telephone inquiries per company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store and related orders promptly and contact customers on shipment.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued correctly.
• Oversee merchandise invoicing before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
