Foot Locker, a leader in sport-inspired retail, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to energize the sales floor, coach the team, and partner with the Store Manager to deliver strong results. You’ll be on the floor daily, connecting with customers and ensuring the store runs smoothly.

This role requires hands-on leadership, flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and a mindset of ownership. You’ll help recruit, train, and develop associates while upholding Foot Locker’s standards

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.
• Previous experience as a Key Holder, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager.
• Experience in a fast paced or high volume retail environment.
• Interest in pursuing long term career growth in retail leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with an energy mindset; bring solutions to customer interactions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Move with purpose by keeping the store organized and customer ready.
• Follow all safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures to protect customers and product.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues and maintaining standards of execution.
• Leverage retail technology and digital tools to enhance customer experience and operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled; support hiring, onboarding, and training of associates.
• Coach teammates in real time and support the team and store priorities.
