Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, merchandise transfers, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, enforcing corporate directives, maintaining displays, and aiding in staffing, training, and supervision of store associates. This role offers growth within a thriving retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, bending).

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable.
