Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with daily store functions, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and help ensure a clean, safe shopping environment while upholding company policies. The role involves opening/closing duties, payroll and scheduling support, and loss prevention, with emphasis on teamwork and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle physical duties typical of store operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure store assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
