Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and lead by example on the sales floor.

Duties include opening/closing procedures, supervising associates, organizing merchandise, maintaining stockrooms, and ensuring safety and policy compliance. This part-time role emphasizes excellent communication and a positive, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets and cash
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions
• Ensure cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
