Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with day-to-day activities and help customers while maintaining clean, organized spaces.

Responsibilities include merchandise organization, opening/closing Procedures, and implementing corporate directives. The role involves loss prevention, payroll/scheduling records, and ensuring safety and policy compliance in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and friendly store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
