Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and lead by example to create a positive environment.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and a willingness to train and supervise store associates. You will ensure merchandise is stocked, respond to customer questions, and help protect assets while following company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
