Job summary

Carter’s is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a retail team and deliver exceptional customer experiences on the sales floor. You will coach staff, manage scheduling, and support daily operations to meet KPIs and sales goals.

You’ll foster an inclusive environment, utilize product knowledge to inform customers, and collaborate with the Store Manager on recruiting, training, and merchandising initiatives to drive store success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays; at least two closing shifts weekly.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to maintain a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm, helpful greeting and show product knowledge.
• Foster an inclusive environment and coach employees to meet service standards.
• Analyze business performance and drive KPIs with the team to improve results.
• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, training, and developing store staff.
• Support merchandising standards, promotions, markdowns, and product placement.
• Help manage loss prevention through consistent customer service and controls.
