Job summary

FirstCash, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Birmingham to lead day-to-day store operations and develop a high‑performing team. You’ll drive customer satisfaction, manage cash and inventory, and work with the Store Manager to hit financial goals.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, opening/closing procedures, asset protection, and ensuring compliance with company standards. A flexible schedule and commission opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proven ability to supervise others.
• Willing to work with firearms and obtain certification.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Minimum age 18; High School Diploma or GED.
• Cash handling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment and address issues promptly.
• Train pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company channels.
• Open/close store and manage cash drawers and merchandise.
• Ensure asset protection and inventory control.
• Oversee store processes, inventory, and reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability.
• Ensure compliance with FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate store mission and objectives to staff.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in absence of Store Manager.
