Job summary

J.Crew is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the store leadership team in Massachusetts. You will drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, while coaching the sales team for peak performance and aligning with leadership on strategic store initiatives.

You’ll manage operations and recruiting support, partner with leadership to foster a collaborative work environment, and ensure the team consistently delivers exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience.
• Passion for our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty.
• Scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift at least 40 pounds (18 kg).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact profitability through authentic brand connections.
• Own your division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist recruiting, training and development efforts as needed.
• Partner to create a collaborative environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate customer connections.
• Develop community engagement and loyalty through events.
• Step into various sales floor roles when required.
