J.Crew Group (JCG) seeks an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team and drive profitability through genuine customer connections and brand loyalty. You will coach the sales team, support the Store Director, and help adapt strategies for smooth operations and business success.

You’ll partner with leadership to create a collaborative environment, exceed goals, and elevate authentic customer connections through product knowledge and engaging community events.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience
• Comfort leading a sales team and providing coaching
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Able to stay up-to-date with fashion trends and brand standards

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director to drive profitability through customer connections
• Own designated division (visual merchandising, operations, HR, service)
• Manage store operations, systems and technology
• Assist recruiting, training and development as needed
• Collaborate with leadership to create a collaborative environment
• Ensure the team meets goals and delivers best-in-class service
• Lead product knowledge sessions for associates
• Develop community engagement and loyalty through events
• Step into multiple roles on the sales floor when needed
