Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store and assist with supervision, merchandising, and deposits. You will support profitability while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

You will open/close shifts, train staff, manage stock, implement planograms, and ensure cash controls. This on-site role in Torrington, CT requires a high school diploma and retail supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cash register, handle deposits and follow cash-control procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise through stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and implement planograms as directed.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and deposits.
• Assist in managing store in the Store Manager's absence.
