Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and paperwork while performing stocking and cashiering duties to maximize profitability and protect assets.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, scheduling and training staff, managing planograms, inventory control, and cash procedures.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage cash handling, deposits and cashier accountability.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Aufgaben

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, and planograms.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scans, and paperwork.
• Assist with deposits and cash control procedures; authorize refunds and deposits as directed.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
