O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and daily operations in Roseville, MI. The role requires leading the team, managing shifts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late- afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training compliance.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
• Make sure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.
• Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds issued correctly, and returns staged properly.
• Ensure that all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Ensure Zipline messages, Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules and clocking in/out procedures.
• Perform opening/closing duties and day end procedures, secure money/deposits, and lock up.
• Assist the store manager in maintaining building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
