Job summary

Foot Locker is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations, coach the team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role focuses on driving sales, maintaining store standards, and ensuring a positive environment for customers and associates.

As Manager on Duty, you will partner with the Store Manager, own daily execution, and mentor staff while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience with leadership or key holder responsibilities.
• Strong coaching, motivation, and team engagement skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and owns responsibilities.
• Familiar with retail KPIs and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Move with purpose to keep the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues and owning store execution.
• Leverage retail technology and digital tools to enhance the customer experience.
