Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Ukiah, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Director to partner with the Store Director in running the daily store operations. You will oversee cash handling, inventory, security, customer service, and staff management during the Store Director's absence, aiming to meet and exceed store goals and maintain strong store performance.

This role requires leadership, scheduling, labor forecasting, coaching, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; College degree preferred.
• Four or more years of retail or managerial experience.
• Retail grocery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall management responsibility for the operation of a retail grocery store during absence of the Store Director.
• Supervise the front end manager and direct, discipline and evaluate front end clerks.
• Forecast, schedule, and monitor labor to align with sales goals and wage budgets.
• Communicate sales goals and opportunities with staff to drive results.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Provide development and direction to improve product placement and appearance.
• Handle customer and employee complaints and resolve them.
