Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Store Director to lead daily store operations in the absence of the Store Director. You will supervise 100+ staff, manage labor, and ensure top-notch customer service while driving store performance.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, scheduling, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Travel may be required to support multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-department retail setting is required.
• Strong customer service and supervisory skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of store operations in the SD's absence.
• Forecast and monitor weekly/daily sales to meet goals.
• Communicate sales goals and department performance to staff.
• Schedule labor aligned with sales and wage budgets.
• Develop and direct strategies to improve product placement and appearance.
• Ensure stock, display accuracy, and promotions are executed.
• Oversee cash handling, security, and store cleanliness.
• Lead, train, and evaluate store employees and provide feedback.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and union if applicable.
