Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Store Director to lead store operations in the absence of the Store Director. You will supervise 100+ employees, manage labor scheduling, training, and performance, and ensure top-notch customer service and store efficiency.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and collaboration with management to drive sales and operational excellence across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience as assistant manager or department manager in a multi-department operation within retail or high-volume service.
• HS diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Strong customer service and supervisory skills.
• Perishable inventory management (no exceptions).
• Solid understanding of overall store operations.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations during the Store Director's absence to meet sales and service goals.
• Forecast weekly/daily sales and set staffing plans to meet labor budgets.
• Communicate sales goals and opportunities to staff to drive results.
• Ensure promotions, product placement, and in-stock conditions are maintained.
• Supervise payroll, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain cash handling, security, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Foster excellent customer service and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic plans and store initiatives.
