Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You’ll support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and delivering a quick, friendly customer experience.

You’ll step in as Manager on Duty when needed, help ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality service, and participate in training, inventory, and reporting to keep the shop running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months customer service in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills with ability to coach and provide feedback.
• Initiative, accountability and follow-through on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty by coordinating workflow and guiding the team.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately, safely and to standards.
• Support shop performance and take on leadership tasks when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities as needed.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting and follow-up.
