Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help run a fast-paced service shop. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, staff development, and delivering a quick, friendly customer experience on the shop floor.

You’ll step in as Manager on Duty when needed, uphold safety standards, and help the team stay focused and productive. Training is provided to develop the technical and leadership skills required for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and helping the team deliver safe, efficient, high-quality service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service, respond to customer needs, and resolve concerns professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately and consistently while reinforcing company procedures, safety requirements, and service standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying opportunities for improvement and taking on additional leadership responsibilities when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members, provide real-time coaching and feedback, reinforce expectations, and recognize strong performance.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
