Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead on the shop floor, support the Shop Manager, and deliver fast, friendly customer service. You will step in as Manager on Duty, help guide a busy team, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Training is provided; automotive experience is valued but not required. The role offers growth from shop tasks to leadership through strong performance and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction and feedback.
• Reliable transportation to and from work location.
• Must meet applicable age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty by coordinating workflow and leading the team.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately and safely while enforcing procedures and standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities and taking on leadership tasks.
• Train new team members with coaching and feedback, recognize strong performance.
• Handle opening and closing procedures and support inventory counts.
• Assist with shop communication, reporting and follow-up.
