Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a team, oversee oil change services, and ensure a great customer experience. This role trains in the Take 5 way and involves managing daily shop operations, inventory, and service quality.

The ASM will act as Shop Manager in their absence, handle duties from opening/closing to payment processing, and help develop staff. A dynamic retail environment with performance-based bonuses awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform related activities for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure they had a great experience.
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager's absence.
• Run the floor to ensure employees are where they need to be and customers are satisfied.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
• Train and develop subordinates; be a role model for the team.
• Perform technician duties including oil changes, filter changes, tire pressure checks, fluid top-offs, and payments.
