Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced shop floor. You’ll support the Shop Manager, coach staff, and ensure a safe, efficient, high-quality customer experience. Training is provided, and automotive experience is valued but not required.

You will step in as Manager on Duty, help optimize workflow, and participate in inventory and reporting tasks while growing into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 6+ months customer service in a fast-paced service setting.
• 6+ months leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and ability to coach and give feedback.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Must meet age and certification requirements where applicable.
• Reliable transportation to work.

Responsibilities

• Complete Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty by coordinating workflow and guiding the team.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs.
• Ensure services are performed accurately and in line with standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching.
• Handle opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support communication, reporting and operational follow-up.
