Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to lead on the shop floor, support the Shop Manager, and help drive fast, friendly service. Automotive experience is valued but not required, and paid hands-on training is provided.

You’ll coach teammates, ensure safety and quality, manage daily operations, and step in as Manager on Duty when needed while focusing on efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months' experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed to coordinate workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while maintaining safety standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and shop reporting.
