Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You’ll support daily operations, develop staff, and step in as Manager on Duty to maintain a safe, efficient, customer-focused flow.

We provide paid training, opportunities for career growth, and a path from shop roles to leadership positions. Automotive experience helps, but is not required, and we offer competitive hourly pay with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months in fast-paced customer service.
• At least 6 months leading or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to stay organized during busy periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and helping the team deliver safe, efficient, high-quality service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities and leadership duties.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and follow-up.
