Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead on the shop floor. You will support the Shop Manager in daily operations, team development, and delivering a fast, friendly customer experience.

You may step in as Manager on Duty to keep the shop safe, efficient, and running smoothly, with paid hands-on training provided. Automotive experience is valued but not required, and there are opportunities for internal promotion as leaders rise through the ranks from shop roles to

Qualifications

• 6 months+ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• 6 months+ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction and feedback.
• Initiative, accountability and follow-through.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods.
• Ability to meet age and certification requirements.
• Reliable transportation to work location.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty, coordinating workflow and ensuring safe, efficient service.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer concerns professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities and taking on leadership tasks when the Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members with real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform all Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting and follow-up.
