Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager. You will support daily operations, develop the team, and occasionally serve as Manager on Duty to keep the shop safe and efficient. Training is provided to learn technical skills and service standards the Take 5 way.

We value automotive experience but it is not required. The role emphasizes leadership, fast service, and friendly customer interactions in a dynamic shop environment, with opportunities to grow into higher leadership positions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements.
• Reliable transportation to and from your work location.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while reinforcing procedures and safety standards.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and assist with inventory.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and follow-up.
