Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisor to help maintain a secure facility and supervise resident activities.

You will oversee shift personnel, review reports, and ensure compliance with contract requirements while upholding safety and security standards. Responsibilities include patrols, inspections, documenting incidents, coordinating admissions and discharges, and providing training and leadership to monitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Two (2) years related experience (security, criminal justice, military, corrections, community based services); supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Shift Supervisor maintains alertness to control and secure the facility and residents.
• Oversees shift personnel duties to ensure facility security.
• Reviews all reports written during assigned shift to ensure accuracy and completeness and logs daily activity.
• Conducts scheduled and impromptu inspections of resident living and common areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Performs intake and discharge procedures, ensures property is accounted for, and verifies releases.
• Prepares incident reports and coordinates transportation of residents as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with policies and procedures.
