The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a security-focused professional to maintain continuous alertness and security within the facility, ensuring compliance with legal constraints and contract requirements.

You will operate watch equipment, document shift events, perform counts, and communicate with residents and staff to support a safe environment. Responsibilities include patrols, log maintenance, visitor verification, and coordination with teams to uphold health, safety, and security standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year general work experience preferred.
• Sufficient organizational skills to keep workflow orderly.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
• Flexibility to perform a wide range of duties.
• Ability to interact effectively with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment for each watch is operational and prepares shift documentation.
• Receives information from previous shift and logs activities with time, name and title.
• Conducts radio checks and facility counts; maintains accurate logbooks.
• Patrols buildings to observe residents and maintain security.
• Ensures building picture boards and resident beds are accurate.
• Organizes and supervises resident work details for cleanliness and compliance.
• Performs routine checks (urinalysis, searches, counts) to maintain security.
• Documents disciplinary actions as required.
• Welcomes visitors and verifies identity; maintains professionalism.
• Communicates with residents and staff to foster positive relations.
• Participates in staff meetings and shares observations for problem-solving.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to company policies and procedures.
