Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) seeks an Assistant Service Center Manager at our South Euclid location. You will be the right hand of the Service Center Manager, leading a high-performance team and ensuring top-quality service for guests.

You’ll supervise hourly staff, train new team members, develop weekly schedules, manage inventory, and uphold safety and company policies while delivering fast, friendly car care. Strong customer focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail or service environment
• Customer service mindset with ability to build loyalty while following procedures
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and making sound judgments under pressure
• Experience using KPI data to monitor performance and identify improvements
• Weekend availability likely, but no late nights or holidays
• English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency
• Demonstrated ability to learn and follow company policies

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and maintenance services, educate guests on vehicle maintenance requirements and ensure recommended services are reviewed
• Supervise daily operations of the service center and train new team members
• Build trust and win repeat, loyal customers by delivering excellent customer service through Valvoline's quick, easy process
• Develop and maintain efficient weekly work schedules for employees, ensuring optimal coverage and compliance with labor laws
• Assist with inventory process, ensuring appropriate product levels and scheduling orders
• Assist with store audits (safety, performance, culture) and maintain a clean, safe service center
• Open and close the service center, ensuring all safety and security protocols are followed
• Lead and train the team to optimize their development
