Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is seeking an Assistant Service Center Manager to serve as the right hand to the Service Center Manager. You will lead a high-performance team, oversee service floor operations, and ensure policy execution to differentiate our service experience.

You will educate, train, and supervise hourly staff, develop weekly schedules, manage inventory, and uphold safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required (coaching, training, and supervising a team).
• Customer service mindset with ability to build loyalty.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and sound judgment under pressure.
• Experience using KPI data to monitor performance and trends.
• Weekend availability likely, but no late nights or holidays.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and other maintenance services; supervise daily service-center operations and train new team members.
• Build trust with guests and ensure excellent service through Valvoline’s process.
• Develop and maintain efficient weekly schedules for employees, ensuring coverage and labor compliance.
• Assist with inventory and ordering; ensure appropriate stock levels.
• Support store audits (safety, performance, culture) and keep the center clean and safe.
• Open and close the service center following safety and security protocols.
• Lead and train the team to support development and growth.
