Job summary

Perkins American Food Co. is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and to help achieve sales and profit goals while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead staff, ensure proper cash handling and maintain ServSafe standards, while coordinating recruitment, training, and onboarding of team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years previous experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
• High school diploma; some college or degree preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with employees, guests and vendors in person and by telephone.
• Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assists the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower.
• Responsible for achieving plan profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
• Accountable for proper handling of cash, credit card information, gift cards and all payments.
• Assists in planning and analysis of restaurant unit manpower, training, and development of staff.
• Assists General Manager in staffing including recruitment, training, and orientation.
• Attends University of Perkins and completes coursework.
• Maintains ServSafe certification.
• Performs and assists in all restaurant positions as needed.
• Ensures menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Monitors food temperatures to reduce risk factors for foodborne illness.
• Schedules and staffs to meet productivity and service standards.
• Manages facility and equipment through preventive maintenance and safety practices.
• Manages inventory and ordering to meet company guidelines.
• Identifies and corrects system breakdowns to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Prepares financial data including payroll, cash handling, and expense reports.
• Attends team meetings and presents to peers and management.
